Fury first became known for his skill in capturing the dense dynamic of New York hardcore, with dimension and energy, and fixing the thrill of performance to the permanent record.
That skill has since served many artists in many styles.
Fury's sound is vivid, immediate, and three dimensional. There is nothing artificial, remote or distant about a Fury production.

WORLD PRESENCE:
Fury is an indie producer. Underground would be a true description.
The ground-busting bands that Fury produced in the 80's opened the world to New York hardcore in it's many forms, and changed music forever.
Fury's production became known around the world. Bands from Japan, Germany, UK, Italy, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Greece, Canada, Argentina, and Guatemala have recorded with Fury.
In the 90's Fury produced seminal post-hardcore bands, including Quicksand and Helmet, that have influenced rock bands ever after.
In the 00's, Fury's style defined the dynamic performance of musically diverse indie bands, including the World Inferno Friendship Society, Black 47 and Aficionado - that use horns, woodwinds, uilleann pipes, accordian, strings or acoustic bass.
That trend continues in the 10's, at Fury's new studio in Troy, New York.

DON FURY STUDIO:
In 2007, Fury bought a well-sized loft building in Troy, New York, and in 2008 built the new Don Fury Studio. The studio is a hybrid analog environment, with stand-alone hard disk recorders, and features digital mastering.
The studio favors indie recording budgets - an advantage in today's industry environment. Traveling indie/DIY bands often stay at the studio during sessions.

REPRESENTATION:
Fury was represented by Sandy Roberton of World's End America from 1994 - 2000 on a non-exclusive basis.

TREND:
Fury remains a seminal producer of hardcore, punk, indie and post hardcore music, and that will continue. Another trend has developed - producing diverse and broadly orchestrated bands. Included in this presentation are some favorite productions in different styles.
